Cloning is a collaboration feature that enables a project to be accessed for duplication. It allows the project to be replicated as a template.
The enabled Allow cloning option adds an icon to the bottom left corner of the screen for the workspace from which the project was created. Anyone can click it to import a clone of your shared project into their workspace.
If the person is not a Vectary user, clicking this icon will take them to the next screen where they can register to become a Vectary user.
Before importing, the recipient of the cloned project will see: ∙ project name ∙ preview ∙ the name of the workspace and its cover ∙ project description (if any)
The Cloned project will be in the first Workspace a user has on their Workspaces list in the Vectary Dashboard. The original name of the project will be appended with “(clone)” as a reminder that this is an imported project. The recipient can then rename the project, and modify it as they please.
