Effects substantially enhance rendering quality. They are disabled by default to avoid increasing computer resource consumption and to maintain optimal performance even on less powerful devices.
Please note that most effects include parameters. To adjust these parameters, click on the name of the effect after it has been added.
Effects may be hidden or removed at any time.
Reflections
This effect turns on reflections for the scene. It has two parameters for selecting the quality of reflections in two states. The more samples, the better the quality of the reflections.
Realtime Samples — the quality of reflection processing in motion. Used if the scene will be shown in the Viewer.
Steady Samples — the quality of reflection processing in the static state. Used if you want to get an image.
Selection only — reflections can only be activated for specific objects (recommended for better performance)
🎫 Reflections (SSR) is calculated based on material properties. If roughness and metallicity reach certain values, SSR is smoothly turned on or off to maintain performance on materials that cannot use them.
Ambient Occlusion
This effect creates additional shadows for uneven parts of the geometry. It has parameters: the intensity of the shadow and radius.
Soft Shadows
This effect will make the shadows softer.
Fading
Create a fog effect. The color of the fog will match the background color.
There are two settings:
start - place free of fog intensity - how thick the fog will be
Smooth edges
MSAA (multisample anti-aliasing) is one of the smoothing techniques that allows you to get rid of pixels on the edges of objects.
The greater the number of samples, the higher the quality of processing, but also the higher the impact on performance.
Adjustments
The basic color correction properties are available to you here: Saturation, Contrast, Exposure, Tonemapping*
In 3D, it is not always easy to get the colors you want because the color is affected by the lighting. Adjustments can help you achieve the look you want. *Tonemapping is a filter used to compress the range of an image's brightness values, which helps to preserve details and highlights in the image while making the overall image more realistic and visually appealing.
Color Balance
Control the colors and adjust them to get the desired look and feel.
Vignette
This is a basic effect in graphic design — a radial black soft frame.
You can change the size and level of softness.
Grain
This basic design effect is also known as the noise effect. Sometimes it can add a certain style to a scene.
Bloom
The Bloom effect causes those materials that emit or reflect light to glow.
The following settings are available: intensity, size and glow threshold (the lower the threshold, the more glow you see).
⚠️ Has a medium impact on productivity.
